McGraw’s influence extends far beyond St. Louis, as he is nationally recognized for his sharp wit, thoughtful questions, and educated opinions. His impressive guest list includes everyone from Washington insiders to A-list celebrities—”everyone except Obama,” as he likes to say. In addition to radio, McGraw has made his mark in television. He hosted the Emmy-nominated show Get Hooked On Health and was a panelist on the popular sports round table Chalk Talk. His wide-ranging career has taken him from broadcasting on the White House lawn to flying with the Missouri National Guard on air-to-air refueling missions. McGraw is now bringing his wealth of experience and expertise to Black Twig Marketing and Communications, where he will offer key services such as media training, public speaking coaching, podcast consulting, and crisis communication guidance. In recognition of his contributions, McGraw was honored by the Missouri Senate for his dedication to improving the lives of Missouri citizens. In 2006, The Riverfront Times named him the best AM personality in St. Louis, and Alive Magazine included The McGraw Show in its “Hot List: 130 Things We Love About St. Louis,” recognizing it as the best talk show in the region.
Originally from a small town in Long Island, New York, McGraw grew up with five sisters before attending the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he earned three varsity letters in baseball. He made St. Louis his home in 1999 and has since become a beloved figure in the city’s media landscape.
