This month I thought it would be fun to explain why 85% of marketers use video as a marketing tool.
Just as in old-fashioned tv advertising, people tend to feel more connected to a brand after watching a commercial.
After all, humans are visual.
So, while creating, producing, posting or sending videos via email may not be the first thing on your mind, now might be the right time to consider it.
Here are just a few reasons:
- Studies have shown that we are nearly 4 times more likely to watch a video than we are to read about the same topic.
- Using the word “video” in the subject line of an email can significantly increase open rates by 19%, and increase click through rates by 65%.
- Most people retain information at a higher rate when it is fed to them in bite size pieces. and since the most effective emails contain a not so bite sized fifty (50) to one hundred twenty-five (125) words, your audience is more likely to remember your video.
So, regardless of their type, videos can help you create a deeper, more personal connection with your audience.
