In 2010, leaders from the governing board of the Highland Arts Council approached Black Twig to assist in promoting a growing event for the general public called Art in the Park. The group was looking for a solution to attract new visitors from the St. Louis area.

Black Twig recommended and implemented a plan that focused on earned media placements, an enhanced social media effort and a culinary art element that would gain television coverage. In 2018, the event garnered more than 8.4 million earned media impressions that were valued at more than $120,000.
